SUMMER ARTS OPPORTUNITIES
If you and your child(ren) are looking for a variety of arts related opportunities for summer, please check the Community Arts Academy web site. CAA offers summer camps for students of all ages. Participants can choose from art, dance, music, and theatre programs.

FWCC E-NEWS
The E-News will cease its weekly delivery to your inbox this week. You will receive one the fourth week of May, June, and July. Weekly delivery will resume after Choralfest.

SCHOLARSHIPS
During the Recognition ceremony, the FWCC scholarship recipients were announced. They are as follows:
*Sigma Alpha Iota - CECELIA SNOW from Youth Chorale
*Heartland Chamber Chorale - NATHANAEL FALATER from Concert Choir and PAYTON SCOTT from Youth Chorale
*Neumann - SARAH JOHNSON from Youth Chorale
*Fred Meads - IAN DEVINE from Treble Choir
*Ator Tour - ADRIENNE MARTIN from Youth Chorale, NOAH ISCH and HANNAH HOBSON from Concert Choir

WHO DO YOU KNOW??
FWCC families and friends are our best recruiters!! Do you know a child who loves to sing? Choir placement sessions will be held the following sites, dates, and times:

*IPFW Rhinehart Music Center: May 13-16, 4:30-6:30 pm
*Columbia City United Methodist Church: May 20 & 21,   4:30-6:30 pm
*DeKalb Middle School: May 22 & 23, 4:30-6:30 pm

APPLESEED CHILDREN'S CHOIR FESTIVAL
This weekend FWCC host's the Appleseed Children's Choir Festival. In addition to our own TREBLE choir, singers from Milwaukee Children's Choir, Grand Rapids Symphony Children's Chorus, and Kantorei - The Singing Boys of Rockford will be participating. The guest clinician is Josh Pedde, assistant artistic director of the Indianapolis Children's Choir.

The choirs will join together in a free concert on Sunday, May 5 at 4 PM in Auer Performance Hall, Rhinehart Music Center.

AND THE WINNER OF THE TICKETS!
A big thank you if you participated in the Spring Concert online evaluation. The winner of four vouchers to her choice of 2013-14 FWCC concert(s) is DONNA LEHMAN, a music educator at Aboite Elementary.

FORT WAYNE AREA HOME SCHOOL EXPO
FWCC will be hosting a booth at the FWAHS Expo on Saturday, May 18, 9 AM -5 PM at the Memorial Coliseum. In addition to the booth, Mr. Busarow will be presenting a workshop for home school parents and their children. The session will be interactive.

If you are attending the Expo, please stop by and say "hello."FUN FACT: Almost 9% of FWCC singers are home schooled!
