Emily Hull was a member of FWCC from 1996-2006. Now, she’s a music teacher and a member of our board.
Why is FWCC important to our community?
It is important to our community because it provides a cultural experience for our youth and provides children the opportunity to raise their voice in song.
Do you have a favorite FWCC memory?
There are so many memories that it is hard to pick just one. I would say one of the more memorable experiences was performing in a Bruton Parish church at Colonial Williamsburg. We sang by candle light in a church that had hosted George Washington and countless other famous historical people. It was awesome to share our voices in song after such an amazing tour.
In your opinion, how does FWCC impact it’s singers?
FWCC impacts singers by giving them lifelong skills that can be applied to any job or passion they may have in the future, while providing an excellent music education. It teaches children discipline, time management, and teamwork.
