Allison McQueen

Allison McQueen is a graduate of Wartburg College, with a Bachelor of Music Education with a choral emphasis. While at Wartburg, she served as artistic director of the treble-voiced chamber ensemble for three years, researching and presenting diverse treble repertoire for their programs. Alli also served as an accompanist, as a music festival and tour coordinator, and as a representative of Wartburg’s ACDA and NAfME chapters. Under her leadership as president for two years, the St. Elizabeth Chorale began an annual coin drive for a food bank and performed at MWACDA in Omaha last February, bringing their dual vision of service alongside musical excellence to a peak. After student teaching, Ms. McQueen completed her undergraduate research on the ties between Cognitive Psychology and Music Education to cultivate independent thinking and create resilient musicians within her rehearsals. Alli will be completing her Level I Kodály certification this summer at Indiana University.

A Fort Wayne native, Allison was a ten-year member of the Fort Wayne Children’s Choir and graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School. Her two executive internships- at the Children’s Choir and in Wartburg’s Admissions Office- equipped her with valuable experience in both nonprofit leadership and student recruitment, preparing her to contribute meaningfully to FWCC’s mission both on and off the podium. She is excited to be ‘back home again in Indiana’ and honored to help carry forward the legacy of the Fort Wayne Children’s Choir in this role.
