GiGi’s Playhouse clients and Fort Wayne Children’s Choir high schoolers come together to learn, sing, and grow through music under the direction of Music Therapist Madison Boyden. Madison received her B.S. in Music Therapy from Purdue University Fort Wayne and completed her internship at Spectrum Creative Arts, a community arts education and therapy center in Rochester, New York. Madison says that her favorite part of working with the participants in this collaboration has been seeing the relationships develop and strengthen between the GiGi’s Playhouse clients and the FWCC singers. These positive relationships cultivate a sense of belonging, trust, and unity for the participants.
